The All-New 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray Finally Shows Its True Form!

After countless teasers and renderings, one of the most anticipated American icon has finally revealed itself one day ahead of its scheduled 2013 Detroit Motor Show debut. Sporting an all-new and aggressive bodyline than its predecessor, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is the most powerful base Corvette they had ever produced.

Packing a serious growl underneath the hood, the new generation LT1 GM V8 engine produces a massive 450-horsepower, easily surpassing the earlier-gen base C6 that had to make do with only 400-horsepower. The V8 could be mated with either a six-speed automatic or a Tremec TR6070 seven-speed manual.

And power is not the only part where this impressively-looking machine shines as it is also able to pull over 1G while cornering and stop from 100km/h in a similar time as the Z06, thanks to the Brembo four-piston fitted as standard. A lighter and stiffer aluminum frame allows it to shed 45kgs of unnecessary weight, and parts like the hood, removable roof panel, composite fenders, doors, and rear quarter panels are made out of carbon fiber to give it a 50/50 weight balance.

But probably the most striking feature of the new Corvette will be its new and modernized external feature. With the aim of jumping it into the supercar league, the completely redesigned body bears a menacing stance that might spell a new era for this American muscle.

Swathed with handcrafted high-end interior that combines leather, suede, aluminum and carbon fiber accents, customers are offered two seating options; Touring and Competition. And to tackle the driving challenges of today, the new Stingray also comes with twelve different driving configurations which include Weather, Eco, Tour, Sport and Track.
