The Acura NSX Concept: Now with Complete Interior Trimmings!

The Acura NSX Concept might have been revealed to the public in back 2012 at the same world stage, but its presence at this year’s North American International Auto Show still manages to pull up the crowd without fail. Returning to Detroit, the NSX Concept is now set to wow the audience pouring in into the Auto Show as a redesigned version that comes with a complete interior.

But before we move on to the insides, the NSX Concept’s exterior had also been updated with bits of carbon fiber on the side vents of both front and rear bumper, and a diffuser made out of the lightweight material as well. Acura had also gave the Concept clear turning signals up front, and adding an LED strip in the center of both taillights.

And although this is the first time having its interior revealed, the looks are already pretty much convincing. Like the McLaren MP4-12C, the NSX Concept adopts the simple and sporty minimalistic design that does not incorporate too much knobs and buttons all around. Bathed in a sea of leather and alcantara, carbon fiber trims could also be found on the dashboard, elevated center console and door panels.

Acura describes their approach in the interior “boasts outstanding visibility, an exotic driving position, and an intuitive ‘Simple Sports Interface’ that minimizes interior clutter, allowing the driver to focus on the driving experience”. The power plant on this Concept on the other had still remains the same in being a mid-mounted, direct-injected V6 mated to Acura’s Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system with three electric motors.

The production version of the NSX is expected to hit the streets somewhere in late 2014 or early 2015, and will be sold under Acura in North America and under Honda on other parts of the world.
