Last Saturday, ‘(00) hopped in an RS250 (courtesy of TC Euro Cars) and participated in one of the largest Renault gatherings for a short drive from Renault’s PJ showroom towards Bangsar Shopping Center. The drive was a collaboration between RS Collectif (Renault’s enthusiast club) together with TC Euro Cars and saw participation from some 20 cars which included the Megane RS, Clio RS, and Megane R26. The purpose of the drive was for the club members to have a quick get-together over brunch, and for them to view the line-up in BSC where there was a Renault-Nissan roadshow.
The cars on display at BSC included the new Renault Clio RS 200 EDC (first Asian debut), the new Renault Megane RS 265 Trophy Edition as well as the updated Renault Koleos SUV. From the Nissan camp, there was a complete range of Nissan’s CBU models, which included the Murano and the Elgrand. The Renault-Nissan Alliance was also proud to present its zero emission models, the Nissan LEAF and the Renault Fluence EV, both running purely on electricity. The LEAF and the Fluence ZE are part of the awareness campaign that Renault-Nissan Alliance is doing to educate the Malaysian public about electric mobility.
Visitors also had the opportunity to test-drive all the vehicles during the four-day roadshow. For those who missed out, you will still be able to arrange for a test drive at either the Renault or Nissan showrooms in Petaling Jaya. Apart from test drive sessions, TC Euro Cars also had a special offer package for the Koleos SUV. The offer saw the Koleos sold at a special price of RM198,000 (on-the-road price excluding insurance); valid until 30 June 2013.
Its not often that manufacturers have such a close bond with enthusiast clubs, so we have to give kudos to TC Euro Cars for actively engaging their customers via events and trackdays!
