Just over a month after the launch of the McLaren MP4-12c variants in Malaysia – Sime Darby Auto Britannia proudly presents their latest signature showroom in Kuala Lumpur. Located in Mutiara Damansara, McLaren’s arrival in the automotive market in Malaysia is part of the company’s aggressive expansion plan in Asia, marking the 41st retail location in its 25th global market within the span of two years.
The iconic British brand of high performance sports car is represented in Malaysia by Sime Darby Auto Britannia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sime Darby Motors. McLaren Kuala Lumpur is the third collaboration between Sime Darby Motors and McLaren Automotive after McLaren Hong Kong and McLaren Shanghai.

McLaren Kuala Lumpur will be the newest addition to the supercar market in Malaysia, bringing together two of their ultimate creation, the MP4-12C Coupé and Spider. Designed and built like no other sports car, the 12C was derived from McLaren’s world championship-winning Formula 1 heritage. With 616bhp on taps, the 12C will hit Zerotohundred in just 3.1 seconds and fly all the way to warp speed of 207mph (333km/h).
Gracing with its presence at the McLaren Kuala Lumpur opening was the brand’s latest hypercar, the McLaren P1. The long-awaited successor to the legendary McLaren F1 is powered by the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine in the 12C, however it is mated to a hybrid electric motor to generate a maximum output of 903bhp and instant torque of 900nm at your right foot’s disposal. With production limited to only 375 units worldwide, the super exclusive McLaren P1 is the ultimate expression of McLaren’s engineering expertise.
McLaren Kuala Lumpur’s showrrom is located at the Ground Floor of Menara Mudajaya in the upscale enclave of Mutiara Damansara. The showroom is supported by the McLaren Kuala Lumpur Service Centre in Temasya Industrial Park, Glenmaria. Fully-equipped with two working bays, owners are assured by their technicians who were professionally trained at the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) in McLaren’s headquarters in Working, Surrey.
