The weekend of 9 and 10 June 2012 will certainly satiate the appetites of car and race fanatics with what is set to be the Biggest Motorsport Event in Malaysia; the SUPER GT 2012 Round 3 Malaysia.
The event taking place at the Sepang International Circuit, is known as the Fastest Grand Touring Race in the world, with this round being the only SUPER GT race held outside of Japan. Expected to draw in roaring crowds from the world over, the race is a place automotive addicts can be sure to find themselves immersed in the company of those who share their passion. For automotive enthusiasts, this event is about so much more than just the thrill of a race and the rivalry of motorsport. Intergrating many elements of fun that make it a memorable outdoor weekend, it is the ideal occasion to enjoy with family and friends.
After the excitement and success of last year’s SUPER GT in Malaysia, the championship is returning to wow the crowds once again.
Visitors can look forward to a weekend-long carnival of musical performances, admire the ‘Finest and Rarest Automotive Collection’ exhibition, get an authentic Japanese feel in the ‘Akihabara Town’ filled with gadgets, watch the final round of the Playstation Gran Turismo 5 Super GT Cup Tournament and get to know the incredibly talented drivers as they’re interviewed.
In the lead up to this highly anticipated sporting affair, the organisers have arranged various roadshows around the country.

There’s only one month left until the Biggest Motorsport Event of the Year, and we will be counting down with a host of spectacular activities, which include:
- Unveiling of SUPERGT 2012 Malaysia activities
- The preview of The Biggest Car Gathering, selected owners of these exotic cars will be bringing their cars to this Launch.
- Lucky Draw for all Ticket purchasers- Prizes includes Bikes, TVs, AntiVirus software, and many more prizes
- SUPERGT Queen Performances
- SUPER GT Queen Search 2012 semi final – catch a glimpse of your favourite girl next door in the semi finals of the Pageant as we search for the one to crown the SUPER GT Queen for 2013.
- The Sony Playstation 3 Grand Turismo 5 Tournament Malaysia round Final – open to the public to test your driving skills Racing Simulators sporting the latest Gran Turismo 5, which is a precursor to the GT5 Asia Online Tournament – SUPER GT Cup, of which the finals will be held on 9 June as well competing with 5 others neighbouring country
- Charity activites – Giving is always more rewarding than receiving. Giving a helping hand could send smile and warmth to a child in the Kids for Kids Foundation. Donation is not obligatory however. With every ticket purchased during any of our roadshows, half will be given to a charitable organisation given to a charitable organisation that focuses on helping children.

In tandom with the Super GT race, the AFFIN Bank Motorshow will be held with the participation of leading conglomerates such as Sime Darby Motors, NAZA World and other major Japanese and Korean manufacturers like Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru and Hyundai, as well as aftermarket accessory makers like Motul and Denso. Hence, visitors can expect the finest collection of vehicles from exotic makers such as Ferrari, Maserati, and Porsche, to performance automakers such as Alfa Romeo, BMW, Ford and even Land Rover, who provide alternatives for 4×4 lovers. Adding to the excitement; private owners will be displaying some of the rarest cars, like the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4, Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, Morgan Aero Super Sport, Ford GT40 replica and many more! Even some of the SUPER GT Race Cars will be on display, making it truly a heaven for automotive enthusiasts! To top it off, Ducati and Harley Davidson will be bringing in their best motorbikes to the show. The AFFIN Bank Motorshow is definitely the place to scratch your speed itch.
If racing and a spine-tingling selection of rare cars are not enough to quench your thirst for automotive entertainment, JPM Motorsport has lined up one more star attraction for you. This time, with the support and help from all the car clubs, we intend to break the record created last year in the Malaysia Book of Records with the 2nd Edition of the Biggest Super and Performance Car Gathering! Our aim is to gather more than 405 cars on the front straight of Sepang International Circuit (SIC), featuring cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, and other road-going variants of SUPER GT racing machines such as the Lexus SC430, Honda NSX, Nissan GTR and Mazda RX7. There’s already a surging interest with an expected crowd (of more than 5000 visitors) attending the SUPER GT Pit Walkabout which will happen simultaneously.
