Proof that Pit Crews Do Not Mess Around

There is a reason why grid walks or pit passes during major race events goes in a very limited number, and sometimes only to certain individuals that meet their strict requirements. Racing teams have sacrificed a great deal of money, time and labor to shave off any excess time bogging them down on the tracks, and they need not more unnecessary distractions or disturbance from those unrelated to the game.

The journey to the podium does not only rest on the drivers’ shoulders to outrun the other rivals, but also on the efficiency and near-perfect executions of the rest of the team down at the pits. And when they are about to perform their lightning-quick executions of pit stops, one better not be in the way like this unlucky woman who had realized this the hard way.

Taking place at the recent Indianapolis Grand AM, here we have a team of pit crews getting ready to perform a quick change of driver and tires, most likely during a demo pit stop. And while this video comes with a description that “the pit boss gave fair warning”, apparently somebody did not get the message.  Just moments before the pit crews jumped in to perform the changes, came this tourist-like lady who appeared to have wanted to get a clear and up-close shot of the car. This proved as a bad decision as shortly after, she got shoved by the rushing second driver who was making his way to the car’s cockpit for the driver change.

Even during this demo pit stop, they had demonstrated great speed and teamwork in getting the job done as quickly as possible, and not to forget ignoring any distractions that they might come across along the way. For those that are planning to go to such events like next year’s Super GT for instance, maybe this could serve as a gentle reminder to always be cautious on where you are standing to avoid any mishaps or embarrassing moments from happening.

Don't mean to be picky but I think you mean to say "Proof that pit crews...." not "Prove that pit crews...."
