Indonesia Receives Ferrari F12 Berlinetta!

Garden Sampoerna Strategic in Jakarta is the place that received the new V12 730bhp offering from Ferrari, the F12 Berlinetta, which now becomes the new generation of V12 powered Ferraris that merges certain aspects from their Formula One car into a road-going car to provide a flat torque curve, a compact form, agile handling, optimum weight distribution and a body shape to die for that knows the inside of a wind-tunnel a little too intimately.

At the launch ceremony were Mr. Simon Inglefield, Head of the region – Ferrari Asia-Pacific Other Countries , Mr. Soetikno Soedarjo, CEO of MRA Group, Irmawan Poedjoadi, President Director of PT. Citra Langgeng Otomotif, together with other media and guests from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.

Ferrari’s V12 story reaches as far back as the 1947 125S built by the late-great Enzo Ferrari (1898 – 1988) himself that used a steel tube-frame chassis for rigidity, leaf-springs for suspension and drum brakes all around to bring Gioacchino Colombo’s 1.5L 118bhp at 7,000rpm 60-degree carburetted 2-valves per cylinder DOHC V12 powered car to a stop.

But of course there have been improvements made to the initial genius built by Enzo that now celebrates the combination of beauty, unprecedented performance, handling, and an innovative aerodynamic design.
