Nissan Giving a Shot on the One-Make Racing Series with the new 370Z

The one-make racing series quickly gaining its popularity around the world. We have seen Europe getting its new one-make rally with the new Adam compact car, and Australia trying to do the same thing with HSV revealing a Commodore-based race car. And now, Nissan has recently announced that they are starting their own one-make racing series for their 370Z Nismo sports car.

The Nissan 370Z Nismo Challenge Z-Spec will feature race cars similar to the 370Z Nismo RC launched late last year, and will be revealed for the first time at next month’s 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon. Even so, Nissan has yet to reveal the locations of where the races will be held, nor even the entry fee for the competition. But it will surely be far more affordable than the similar competitions organized by famous marquees like Ferrari or Lamborghini.

While that might give out some hope for those hoping to find a low-cost alternative to enter the world of motorsports, the 370Z Nismo RC is nowhere in being “cheap”.  This race-ready 370Z costs USD164,560, and it comes with the same 3.7-liter V6 that produces the same 350-horsepower as the road going version. We will bring more details for this new 370Z Nismo Z-Challenge Spec will come once the Tokyo Auto Salon commences in 2013.
