Jaguar XFR-S – Blessed With 550bhp 5.0L Supercharged V8!

Jaguar, probably the brand that represents all things British after James Bond, has unveiled their fastest, most powerful and agile sports saloon car to have ever been built by the company that’s represented by the leaping cat – the XFR-S is what Jaguar calls it, which is the second model to be in existence within Jaguar’s ultra-high performance R-S range – incorporating the engineering feats from both the XKR-S and the all-new 2-seater F-TYPE sports car, to create a monstrous 550bhp from it’s 5.0L supercharged V8.

We won’t begin to even question if the that kind of horsepower rating is enough, only whether we could have more – after all, if you’re reading this intently then you could be a horsepower-holic…just like us.

But jokes aside, we do marvel at the thought of having all those ponies under our heavy right-foot and we can only begin to imagine, nay – fantasize about what sort of antics we could have with all that 550bhp along with 680Nm of torque which will effectively get you to the moon 100kmh in a mere 4.4 seconds via the ZF 8-speed automatic.

Although it seemingly has gas-guzzling performance figures from its 5.oL displacement, it’s also been provided with some green-technology by giving a start-stop functionality for some fuel-savings.

That aside, with the number of horses found under the hood, Jag engineers have found a way to strengthen the chassis by a whopping 30%. Next, they took a look at its suspension’s spring and dampers and decided to shove the relatively comfortable ones out the window and bring in a stiffer set through the door. Last but not least, they’ve given it a wildly evocative exhaust-note that lets everyone within this solar-system, and maybe the next, that you’re having a wonderfully superb time.

And we dare go so far as to say that once you’ve planted that foot down, you’ll immediately forget that it unfortunately comes draped in electric blue.

Some how i feel that the wing is a little out of place... makes it look a tad cheap... but love the sound!

Yeah, everything else looks nice except the wing, a bit too much like the GTR wing IMHO.
