BMW Group Malaysia heralds the coming of the new BMW 320i (F30) and the latest best-selling premium sports sedan in the world, which now comes in the form of your choice of either Sport of Luxury trims goes on sale on our shores right now.

Both Sport and Luxury variants keep under their hoods the same Turbo 2.0L inline-4 petrol engine that comes with the usual Valvetronic, Double VANOS, High Precision injection from BMW. But this time, it gets an 8-speed automatic Steptronic transmission mated to the engine, giving it sprint times to 100kmh in just 7.6s from its 181bhp at 5,000rpm and 270Nm of torque available from 1,250 – 4,500rpm, and the ability to cruise at a top speed of 235kmh.

It also comes outfitted with the latest BMW offerings of EfficientDynamics innovations such as Brake Energy Regeneration, Auto Start/Stop and ECO PRO that allows it to sip just 6.0L/100km with CO2 emissions amounting to a mere 141g/km, making the new BMW 3 Series the most efficient car in its class.

In addition, the new 320i offers a host of innovative features and equipment, be it Luxury or Sport Line, such as USB, Bluetooth connectivity, BMW Live and BMW TeleServices as standard that’s visible on a 6.5” free-standing LCD panel via the central BMW iDrive controller.

But what sets the Luxury and Sport Lines apart is how they’ve been styled, with the Luxury Line given a host of chrome elements both in and around the vehicle for that exclusive appeal which can be found on the 11-slat kidney-grille, side window frames, front apron air-intakes, tail-pipe, radio and air conditioning controls. Even the black-finished ignition key gets some chrome accents as well. The Luxury Line gets a set of 17” style 414 multi-spoke light-alloy rims.

As for its interior, classic colours with further chrome accents and fine wood-trim ‘Fineline’ anthracite and highlight trim finishers in Pearl Gloss finalizes the comfort and lushness within the interior of the car.

As for the Sport Line it receives 17” style 393 double-spoke light alloy rims and it gets a more rugged look with high-gloss black accents, again in and around the car. Instead of an 11-slat kidney-grille, it’s been reduced to 8 with chrome surrounding it for a sportier front end – even the front apron air intakes have been ‘blackened’.

It’s really the interior that puts it into a Sportier perspective, with the cabin darkened by black leather that helps the red stitching to visually ‘pop’, these red accents can be found on the sport seats, sporty instrument cluster designed with trim finishers in Coral Red Matt and the sporty leather steering wheel that’s received some red contrast stitching. Lastly, the ignition key has also been given the same treatment of its usual black finish, only it now has red detailing on it as well.

The new BMW 320i (F30) is also covered by BMW’s extensive service program, the BMW Service + Repair Inclusive (BS+RI), which covers the normal wear-and-tear repairs or replacements as well as maintenance, service and repair of factory components of the vehicle.
