ConeMasters International Gymkhana Challenge (2012) Round 3 is BACK!!!

Thankfully, when there’s mention of cones, it’s generally understood that we’re talking about those conical things that’s usually painted in bright orange and used by the road authorities to redirect traffic, instead of something else associated with hunger-pangs, something about floating, uncontrollable laughter, and blowing bubbles in water. Yes! The 2012 Conemasters International Gymkhana Challenge is back with Round Three happening this Sunday, 4th November 2012 and it will be held at Speed City KL.

If that didn’t’ seem to entice you then the Guest of Honour should, being none other than the Prince of Drift himself – Tengku Djan Ley who has graciously designed the gymkhana course layout for this Sunday! Will you be able to handle what the Prince has created?

We’ve been assure that there’s going to be plenty of Evos, Silvia’s, Scoobies and more to take on the ‘cones’ with such skill and precision, so to help capture the moment, a certain Alex Krasnikov will also be gracing us with his presence. If you didn’t already know, Krasnikov is better known especially to the automobile photography aficionados around the world as anType for his exceptional pictures. And since entry is free for spectators, you could unknowingly appear in one of the guru’s auto-photographs for all you know.

If you’d like to participate you’ll need to fill out the form, pay an entry fee of RM250 per driver, indicate which category you’ll be competing in (FWD, RWD or AWD), make sure you got the venue right (Speed City KL), turn up well in advance before the start of the event which will run from 12pm-8pm and hope you manage to swipe as much of that RM6,000 worth of prizes.

The entry form will need to be mailed directly to [email protected] one its filled out and upon approval, the organisers of the Conemasters International Gymkhana Challenge will soon be in touch via your contact details in order to make arrangements for the payment of your registration fee.

Though the event is in KL, out of towners who’d like to spectate but don’t have a place to stay are able to receive special rates from Seri Pacific Hotel, thanks to the organisers of Conemasters International Gymkhana Challenge who happen to be staying at the same venue. So if you need a room, get in touch with them at the email above and they’ll get you sorted out.

Eh parking was free?? I also had to pay 6.50 to enter the lot. Yeah I also went there around 12 noon then raining heavily so did not stay long (just about 1hr). Not that many cars participating. Only my kids seemed to enjoy a bit, especially looking at the red Evo.

Hi,

Parking should have been free as we rented out the whole venue Speed City and didn't charge anyone for parking. Do you remember who you paid money to? Was it someone from the Turf Club or Speed City? My apologies for the inconvenience - it should not have happened.
