We have had the first batch of images for the McLaren’s P1 design study posted over here earlier on, and they might have not done a proper justice in showing what this all-new supercar really looks like. But with the official debut being not that far off, a new batch of images had surfaced up to give you a heads up on McLaren’s design study overall looks.
Compared to the earlier three images that we have seen, the new ones now give us a new view and angles of the P1, which also shows it deploying its massive active-aerodynamic rear wing. The P1’s overall view also shows quite a number of parts sport visible carbon fiber like the front and rear bumper, side sills and mirrors.
As a recap, the P1 for the moment is just a design study for McLaren. But it is based on this design study that they will construct a production version of the car, which they plan have it on the showrooms within 12 months time. Although it is widely regarded as the successor of the legendary F1, the P1 will not be attempting in breaking any speed records for a production road car. It will instead be put to the course of being “the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit”, and the “most exciting, most capable, most technologically advanced and most dynamically accomplished supercar ever made”, as quoted by McLaren Automotive Managing Director Antony Sheriff.
Like the previously mentioned Gallardo Nova, the P1 will also be unveiled at around the same time, also at the Paris Motor Show. So better stay tuned if you are keen to know more of what it seems to be the turning point for the supercar scene as we will bring them up here as soon as possible!
