The Auto Industry Awards 2012 by Asian Auto ALLIANZ recently took place where 29 marques, both local and international, attended in hopeful anticipation to be recognised and presented with one of 19 awards at the Saujana Hotel in Subang.
The awards were based on the perceived value for each category, with the help of Vehicle Certification Agency UK (VCA UK), which provided greater evaluation criteria that took into account the quality aspects and assembly processes during the judging period.
This year, there were eager hopes of taking home the Best Performance Vehicles, Best Local Assembled Vehicles and Best Value For Money Vehicles of which this year’s “Car of the Year” award was claimed by the Hyundai Elantra and the new Toyota Camry took the award for Best Local Assembled Executive Sedan.

9. Best Local Assembled Executive Sedan – Toyota Camry
10. Best Local Assembled Family Car – Proton Preve
11. Best Value For Money Pickup Truck – Ford Ranger
12. Best Value For Money SUV – Mazda CX-5
13. Best Value For Money MPV – Volkswagen Touran TSI
14. Best Value For Money Sports Car – Toyota GT
15. Best Value For Money Hot Hatch – Alfa Guilietta
16. Best Value For Money Executive Sedan – Suzuki Kizashi
