Sold Out: All 165 Lexus LF-A’s Designated For The Japanese Market

2011 Lexus LF-A (42) copy

The debate rages on among those who can’t afford it on whether or not the Lexus LF-A is a worthy buy where else those who are able to buy one are snapping up the LF-A like fresh buns out of the oven. So is it a worthy buy? Of course it is even if it’s just a Lexus, sure you pay A LOT of money for a Lexus but can you imagine the satisfaction of out-dragging a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, that’s when the mental picture changes from “I paid so much for a Lexus” to “I beat a true supercar with a Lexus”.

So far, all 165 examples of the LF-A that have been allocated to the Japanese market have been sold out, the American market will see it’s allotment of LF-A’s being leased to owners at first to counter speculation and the remaining 335 examples destined for other markets remain to be sold. If the remaining cars go as fast as the Japanese unit, we could be looking at one of the most successful limited edition hypercars of our generation. Is it a good buy? Hell yeah it is, to include in your list of Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s, Porsche’s, Aston Martin’s and Bugatti’s.

Seriously, you don't need a $300k car to beat those supercars.
Great car as it is, Nissan GTR does it all already.. For a quarter of the price..
But yet keshy makes some sense, the super rich don't have to bother its value-for-money.. Only people like me have to consider a cars worthiness.. I'd be happy to just get an evo, someday..

Hmm...I wonder how long git will take to reach our shore and how much will it cost once it's here :)

cost is nothing to us malaysians who can afford to buy.

even when the taxes are at 200%, we still see supercars/hypercars on our roads.

so compared to other country which has lower taxes.....
n imagine the number of supercars/hypercars here if the taxes were to be removed one day.....

come on. lets not be too hard on lexus.

they have proved it. they can built a supercar, regardless of what our definition of supercar is, or at whatever cost. i am no toyota seller or lexus SA, but come on, they done it.

the coolest thing would be that awesome speedometer. comic stuff, but brilliant.
yeah man.. love the digital speedometer.. apparently the analog unit can't keep up with how fast the V10 builds and drops revs.. so they had to use a digital unit.. brilliant.. !!

Love the car but not really feeling the engine cover. I would love to see all 10 cylinders of the LF-A staring at my defeated opponent's face. =)

I think this is a collectible. There are many collectors in Japan and I suspect most buyers fit that category. Anyone else would just by the GTR which is a lot cheaper and more fun to own

LFA may seem expensive but is hard to ignore the technology that gone into making this car... Yes Lambo or Ferrari cost less and maybe even faster but this is rare and you will be driving an engineering showcase of a car. I am sure we will see one in Naza soon....
