Leaked: Brochure Images Of A Yet Unreleased Audi RS5

The Geneva Auto Show is not due to happen for another week, but it’s the weeks before the show that prove to be the most exciting as this is when sneak peaks and leaked images are more likely to make it to the world wide web. And the latest to make it to the web is Audi’s Quattro GmbH new uber-model – the Audi RS5.

Apparently based on the same B8 platform as the departed RS4, the RS5 is tasked with taking performance to newer heights but how high exactly is not yet known. We don’t even now what will be providing it with the power to do so but we’re guessing it’s safe to assume that power will be somewhere in between the 420hp of the RS4 and the 571hp of the current RS6.

Audi does have a big engine at it’s disposal, the V10 from the R8 and Lamborghini Gallardo but this is not inline with Audi’s new philosophy of downsizing engines, even so the V10 may not even fit in the engine compartment of the RS5. So we’re guessing a turbo or supercharged version of the current 4.2-liter V8 engine that powers the current S5. Whatever it is, we will have to wait a few more days for official news on this new uber-Audi.

Wow. Love the look 100%. Hmmm need to get one :)

Noticed the tachometer redline doesn't start after 8200rpm! There is something special lurking under the bonnet. The redline indicates this could be NA but turbo engines are so advanced today who knows. A turbo engine that revs to 8200rpm is certainly delicious. I think it's a V8
