Great race footage from the Trofeo Abarth – Two wheel fun

I never quite understood the aerodynamics logic of the Fiat 500. Short and tall never equals great handling but then it did well and won many hearts, but my thoughts were proven to be true in this past weekends Trofeo Abarth at England’s Oulton Park race track. One driver managed to get the car sideways, curbed it and then a “balls-in-the-mouth” situation came about when the car almost toppled over. The driver somehow manages to balance it on two-wheels and gets it on all fours again. It’s a great footage of a close-call since Jason Plato’s 90-degree sideways moment at last years BTCC. I just wonder though, what must the driver be thinking … what do you think ??

what was he thinking:

f*ck!

holy sh*t!

damn i rock!

ok, maybe that's what i was thinking when i watched the clip. but seriously, 'cute' driving.

it's like watching your 5 year old boy play football on the field and pulling some lucky yet fancy moves on the opposing team. good stuff!

I would say that the Fiat 500 driving dynamics are much better than BMW Mini one.

1st car brake into corner / Trial braking . He set shorter braking path . Balance of the car unsettle / over do it .

2nd car brake then turn-in. Treshold braking . He set slightly longer braking path. Balance of the car settle before turn in.
