This is the official video of the new 599 GTO showcasing the new car both in the paddock and on track at the Mugello Circuit north of Florence, Italy.
In the video the car is driven by Ferrari’s top test driver Dario Benuzzi, but otherwise the car is capable of a 3.35 sprint to the 100km/h mark and a 335km/h top speed. Making that possible is a 6-liter V12 that churns out 661hp and 619Nm of torque, and all that power pulls (the engine is located at the front) a body that weighs in at under 1500kg.
Dario Benuzzi is also another man other than Valentino Balboni to have one of the best jobs in the world. He has been Ferrari’s top test driver since 1971 and from 1976, has tested every car F1 and production car built.
The Ferrari 599 GTO will be limited to 599 units and with a starting price of €319,495. (in car video posted after the jump.)
