I’m not sure if this is a rendering or if Mercedes has a serious mole problem within its ranks but the guys over at AutoBlog.nl have somehow got hold of these images of the 2010 E500 Coupe. Once called CLK, Mercedes has dropped the three letter acronym in favour of stating the obvious and these are the first images of the next generation CLK/Coupe.
The front end looks like a cut and paste job from the E-Class sedan but the profile of the car is more graceful than the four-door. It seems to benefit from a sleeker roofline and the omission of what looks to be a B-pillarless greenhouse. Special mention must go to the muscular rear fender and the shorter rear deck but it is still something to be seen in person. And I’m not sure about the large LED taillamps, doesn’t quite fit the picture. Overall, its turning out to be a handsome three-pointer, stay tuned for more news.
