Current World Championship leader Jenson Button has been in Formula One for as long as some of us care to remember. After being in Formula One for a while, an individual tends to rack up personal wealth not to mention that even to make it to Formula One racing requires an individual to be of a sound financial background.
Coming from a sound financial background allows an individual to acquire a number of material gains most of us mere beings only dream of owning. Like the Bugatti Veyron you see here, the fastest car in the world and one of the most expensive and it just so happens to belong to Jenson Button. And it’s for sale for £899,995 ($1,482,620 USD).
Jenson’s the second owner of the Veyron which has 1,500 miles on the odometer. Being in the championship lead and in a very strong position to be crowned 2009 Formula One World Champion, I don’t think Jenson needs the money. It could just be that he needs the space for something even more exclusive. A Pur Sang perhaps? Or a Mansory?
While some of us may cringe at the thought of selling a Veyron, Jenson’s personal collection still is impressive, it includes: a Mercedes CLK DTM AMG, a Ferrari Enzo, an Audi RS6 Avant, a BMW M5, a Mercedes C63 AMG, a Smart car, a 1970s 600cc Honda and two VW campervans. In the past, he has owned a Ferrari F430 Spider, a Ferrari 360, a Ferrari 550 Maranello, a Ford GT and a Porsche Carrera GT.
So I really don’t think that he’s selling the Veyron for money. Whatever replaces it, it definately will be something special. Catch Jenson in action at the upcoming European Grand Prix on August 23.
