BMW Formula One: 10 Years of Racing At The Top

The final race of the 2009 season in Abu Dhabi marked a number of things – the first race at the Yas Marina circuit, the last race for Kimi Raikkonen at Ferrari, the last race for Fernando Alonso at Renault, and saddest of all, BMW Sauber’s last race in Formula One. After 10 years of racing at the pinnacle of motorsport, BMW is bowing out of the sport and here’s a video commemorating those bittersweet years.

BMW is leaving.. again. I'm sure they will be back.. again. Time will tell. I'm more sad for Sauber. They don't wish to exit but looks like thanks to BMW, they're yanked out of F1 more or less for 2010. But who knows, Sauber could be in as there is a lot of uncertainty at the moment with Renault and Toyota.

Peter Sauber is great at spotting talent. Spotted Kimi. He dominated Le Mans with his Sauber-Mercedes sportcars. Schumacher drove for him before debuting in F1
