Nissan 370Z: Best Two-Door Coupe – Malaysian EVO Performance Car of the Year Awards 2009
December 10, 2009
“The 370Z stunned us from the moment we saw it, till long after the test drive was over. It is a vast improvement over its predecessor and this car embodies all the attributes that make up a truly inspiring 2-door sports coupe. With its bold new exterior styling complemented by a sublime drive-train and near perfect ride and handling, the new 370Z is a formidable package at a third of the price of anything its European competition can throw at it”, said Chris Wee, Editor of Malaysian EVO.
The Nissan 370Z, which made its global debut in December 2008, has garnered many prestigious awards for both design and performance such as The Most Fun Award, one of the most coveted categories of Car of the Year Japan 2009-2010 October this year; the Ward Autoworld’s Interior of the Year Award for sports cars in April 2009 and the Edmunds’ Inside Line 2009 Readers’ Most Wanted Awards last June in USA.
The 2009 Performance Car of the Year comprises 13 categories, which included the cars that really inspired the EVO team from a nominees’ list that are far from pure exotics. Because this is the very first time they have done this, they decided to reach back to cars that they have tested from the beginning of 2008 up till October 2009.
