Mercedes Benz SLR Stirling Moss Revealed Early
January 12, 2009

The Detroit Auto Show is on going as you read this but in a private event a day before the show, Mercedes showed off the new Mclaren SLR Stirling Moss to a select group of journos. Only 75 of this final edition SLR will be built and all of them will be offered to current SLR owners. Choosing to go out with a bang, the SLR Stirling Moss SLR will be powered by the same supercharged 5.5-liter V8 as in other SLR’s but tuned to produced 650hp. Imagine 350km/h in a roof-less, windscreen-less car. Scary? Now imagine having that leather helmet Sir Wannabe Stirling Moss is wearing as your only protection. Got money? Got balls?

Ughh hideous and blegh expensive
superb aerodynamics . .
i just dont dig slr’s. the front wheel is just damn too far. plus, its just aint that fast.
awesome……..race car
what happen if it rains? have to bring raincoat? or wait under a bridge?
Its somewhat a race car. If you can afford it, you don’t ask for practicality anymore. Don’t ask about roofs. People buy Harleys, Ducatis , Aprilias not for roof over their head! Its for thrill. So this car is like a 4 wheels motorcycle. It looks pretty good in a hot wheels kind of way.
but a biker can just hide under the bridge if rain…so let think if da SLR can cum out but have to hide under a bridge or inda garage when rain…wat the point 4 buying it…just for show off??
The Stirling Moss is built as a tribute to the legendary Merc 300 SL during the 50’s-60’s. Its a car that only true enthusiast will appreciate..if you get my drift.
