Honda Drops NSX Name In Favour of SHS – Super Hybrid Sports

Tales of the new NSX have been circulating the automotive grapevine for more than two years now and yet there’s no definite report on what it will look like, what will power it, or even when it will make its official debut. There are new reports though on what it will be called, apparently it will drop the legendary NSX name in favour of a boring and uninspiring – “Super Hybrid Sports” this could later be shortened to “SHS”.
Sources claim that the new NSX (that’s what we will call it for now till the whole SHS thing is confirmed) will be built on the Honda Legend platform. The V10 NSX that was to be was killed earlier this year and the newly ressurected NSX is said to be powered by a V6 Hybrid that will challenge Toyota’s own on-again/off-again FT-HS/Supra.
Where Toyota’s entry is reported to put out 400hp to the rear wheels, the NSX will supposedly get about 450hp powering all four wheels via Honda’s SH-AWD system.
Whatever the new NSX will be, we highly recommend that you drop all favourable memories of the older NSX because the new one sounds like it’s going to be a sorry excuse for a proper sports car. Plus Ayrton Senna isn’t around anymore to help with the development, but forget that, Honda doesn’t even actively compete in any races anymore, so forget about racing pedigree in the new NSX. With the new NSX and the new Supra going the way of Hybrid technology and all that green jargon – guess Nissan will be laughing all the way to the bank with its god-like GT-R. Till that too goes Hybrid, then we’re really screwed.

What happen to these car manufacturer this day, as they are either making super car or super hybrid, where is the normal affordable sports car gone?
Is actually our fuel that is “gone”.
