Cartrade-ABT Introduces Tuning Package For Upcoming Scirocco and Mk6 Golf GTI

The Volkwagen Scirocco, when seen in person is totally gorgeous. The smooth flowing lines, the cool stance, the entire thing just screams buy me, then there’s the ABT version which just makes you want to steal it for a ride. Just a ride. The Volkswagen Scirocco and new Mark 6 Golf GTI may have not made it to our shores yet, but expect the duo to make it here later on this year. While we wait for that, Cartrade-ABT has already introduced the ABT VSR GTI Mk6 and the ABT VSR Scirocco tuning packages.

Malaysia is the third most important market for ABT (actually pronounced Ah-B), and with 150 ABT-tuned cars and packages already sold here, the German tuner is looking to strengthen its position here, and judging from the ABT Scirocco and Golf Mk6 that were on display at the Bangsar showroom, it’s only a matter of time before VW owners here warm up to ABT tuning.

The ABT VSR package for the Golf GTI Mk6 enhances the power of the car from 210bhp to 260bhp, with 360Nm of torque at 2,600 – 5,100rpm. The kit now costs RM47,000 and the complete tuning kit for the Mk6 Golf GTI includes:

ABT Wheels Package (19inch BR styling Black edition wheels + Continental tyres + spacers)
Aerodynamic ABT Package (Full ABT bodykit + quad pipe stainless steel muffler)
ABT ECU Performance Tuning (ECU upgrades to 260bhp and 360Nm)

The ABT VSR package for the very gorgeous and sleek Scirocco churns out 240bhp, with 340Nm of torque at 2,400 – 4,800rpm. At RM45,000 the complete performance and aero package helps to deliver speed suited to the car’s dynamic optics and includes the following:

Expect the Scirocco and Golf GTI Mk6 to be officially introduced sometime in the next few months and with the increase in sales of VW and Audi cars, the ABT tuning package will be one of the more preferred and respected personalization programs available to owners.
