Leaked Ferrari Document Points To Next Gen Enzo – Till It Turned Out To Be Fake

ferrari-logoFirst it was those highly classified documents on Ferrari’s F1 cars that somehow got out and landed in the wrong hands, and now we have this, top secret official Ferrari documents on the next Ferrari hypercar, it almost seems as if the military like headquarters of Ferrari have a problem with employee loyalty. That aside, curiosity got the better of me and I had to check out the document and of course, my job is such that I can share it with you, the world, and make things worse for Ferrari. Sorry Ferrari but we love to know what’s next.

So anyway, the document is nothing less of a letter from the CEO of Ferrari, Mr Luca Di Montezemolo himself and contains vital information on the next generation Enzo replacement. The successor to the Enzo and beneficiary of the FXX program is labeled as prototype “FX150”. According to the document, the supercar will be powered by a mid/longitudinally-mounted twin-turbo V8 producing 794 horsepower and 772 Nm of torque (approximately 570 lb-ft) hooked up to a version of the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission already launched on the California codenamed SF3 (presumably for the third-generation SuperFast gearbox) with shift times down to 50 milliseconds.

The carbon fiber construction is said to keep weight down to 1300 kg (~2866 lbs), which, when coupled with the nearly 800hp on tap, is anticipated to propel the FX150 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a blisteringly fast 2.7 seconds en route to a top speed of 390 km/h (242 mph). Testing is stated to begin next month with an eye towards releasing the car sometime next year with a price tag between 1.2 and 1.3 million euros, which is even more than the Bugatti Veyron.

That is all good news and had me pretty excited about the entire thing but I later found out that some guys had actually managed to fake the document meaning there is no such thing in the first place. That’s pretty sad because that made-up FX150 was starting to sound pretty f’in awesome. It also means Ferrari doesn’t have a problem with employee loyalty, it just has a problem with anticipating fans kept waiting for too long. I’m sorry if I got you all excited, yes I knew it was fake from the first place, just figured you would also like to know, but you have to admit, the car in the ‘faked’ document sounded pretty sweet before you found out it was fake. Ferrari! Build it!!
