We now know that Lewis Hamilton’s behind the wheel skills definitely do not come from his fathers side of the family as Hamilton Sr put a Porsche Carrera GT through a bush and ended up in a childrens playground, makes you wonder whether Lewis takes any driving advise from his father at all.
Anthony Hamilton, father and manager of Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton, crashed the borrowed Carrera GT after showing off to bystanders. Just after Anthony and his wife Linda, Lewis’ stepmother, left their home, Anthony decided to show off the Porsche super car by revving the engine but instead he scared most of them off when he spun 180degrees and crashed through a bush, destroyed a fence and left a childrens playground wounded with tyre marks.
Neither Anthony or Linda were hurt and no children were present in the park leaving only the extremely limited Porsche with extremely expensive repair work.
Anthony said: “This is my first crash in almost 30 years and it had to happen in someone else’s car. Thankfully the only thing hurt was the car and a bush fence, for which I am extremely sorry.”
