Ever wondered why the pit crew of a rally team cringe everytime one of their car crashes? This is why, it takes 800 man hours to build another one and its no easy task. Its not so much as replacing parts but creating new components underneath all that sheet metal that makes it a Subaru. I remember on a Touge Special they asked Tommi Makinen to bring the previous Subaru WRC to the Gunsai touge, their head engineer said that if u want to bring that technology to the road car it would at least( cant remember) 200 000pounds or somethin so its no suprise it also takes that long….
