Rendering: 2010 BMW Z4 Coupe

It’s amazing how time flies, I’m sure none of us need to be reminded about that but it seems like only yesterday that the Z4 was introduced and the automotive world was up in cahoots because of its love me or loathe me looks. Chris Bangle, the ever so cool and controversial design guru worked his magic and magic being magic, the Z4 sold like magic. Too much magic there, but the magic is once again set to be reignited with these renderings and spy shots of the 2010 BMW Z4. Speculated to be unveiled worldwide at the Geneva Motor Show next year before it goes on sale late 2009 as a 2010 model.

With competition like the Mercedes SLK and Porsche Boxster directly in its crosshairs’, BMW will offer a large range of engines that will include a twin-turbo 3 liter from the 335i and of course the Z4M which is set to be powered by the new 4 liter V8 engine from the M3! And of course, to keep up with the current global trend of cheaper fuel and a greener environment, there are rumours of a diesel being made available.

BMW’s EfficientDynamics program is also set to grace the entire engine line up, so expect excellent fuel economy and low emissions when the new Z4 is released next year, it seems to be worth the wait, but we’ll keep you updated as more information is released, so watch this space.
