Laptops From Bentley and Ego

How many times have we heard or seen something like this? Ferrari cell phones, Lamborghini laptops, BMW this, Mercedes that. But does it all actually add up to the value of quality or whatever it is that the brand promotes? I don’t think so, will an Acer laptop perform better just because it has the emblem of the legendary prancing horse on it, definately not, it’s just marketing, but yet we fall for it. Ok fine, these products with an attachment to their respective automotive giants do have a knack for looking much better than the standard ones.

Here’s one we can add to the list, a Bentley laptop, who would have figured such a thing would be allowed by the luxury auto maker? The new Bentley laptop classes up the laptop industry with its rich leather and hand sewn cross stitching that comes directly from the British brands seats. To further strengthen the connection between laptop and car, the laptop uses the Bentley door handles that have been converted for its new duty of carrying laptops. But nothing connects the two as much as this, the laptop is supposedly “hand-built” just like the cars and just like the car, the laptop is as British as it can be, Ego Computers is a British company that supplies automotive, marine, distributive and garage companies with software systems since 1977. Wonder if all that leather comes from a British cow? That will definately seal the Britishness of it all.

The price sir? Well if you must ask, you can’t afford it but just for your information, over RM70,000.
