Import It Please: Seat Leon Cope Limited Sport Edition

April 17, 2008

Why Seat never made it to Malaysia is beyond us, it definitely should be here considering how well the Golf GTi was received here but yet again, so should a lot of other hot hatches, this is just one of them. Inspired from the Leon Supercopa racing series, SEAT recently launched this limited edition version of its Leon Cupra model equipped with a modified 2.0-liter TFSi generating 285 Hp vs the standard car’s 240 HP. Additionally, the Spanish carmaker overhauled the Leon Cupra with Eibach springs, larger brakes and a more aggressive bodykit combined with 18-inch black alloy wheels.

According to SEAT, the Leon Cope Edition can sprint from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.9 seconds. Unfortunately again for us, the Spanish carmaker will only produce a mere 55 units of the car that will be sold for the equivalent of 38,500 . Guess we’ll have to deal with wishful thinking for now, again.
