A1 Team Malaysia Shakedown At Donington

Yesteday we had our first shakedown test for our brand new car. Fairuz Fauzy was behind the wheel. The Ferrari powered racer is a completely different car to last season’s Lola-Zytek and is already proving to be a lot quicker.
The car ran for the first time yesterday surprisingly without any glitches. The team ran installation laps to run in the new engine as well as other routine tasks. Fairuz’s feedback on the new car is good despite the wet track conditions.
Test will continue tomorrow at the same track.

Yeah we hope he can set the car up for Fairuz to go sideways through corners
and how come the A1 Team Australia is in the picture gallery as well??

I had pointed that out to Keshy about it. The ZTH team had posted the news on my behalf as I had problems logging in.
The AUS car is supposed to have green areas on the side as well which they’ll probably add later.
If you’re even sharper eyed, our yellow is a little different this year, slightly darker. We’re also trying to make sure all yellows in the team matches the car yellow as close as possible, which was not the case previously.
Second test session concluded just now. Drier conditions. Fairuz clocked the fastest time 1:17.474 simultaneously beating the 15 year lap record set by Senna during the incredible Donington ‘93 F1
its kind of weird, seeing Alex Yoong with the R3 team during the 1500Max and now seeing T Djan with the A1 Team here. Did Proton tell them to switch teams?
hmm.. is it me or the car is slightly bigger than the previous model?
