HKS 2008 Subaru STi Tuning Kit

We have not even seen the 2008 STi on our local roads. Yet HKS had already introduced its product line-up for the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi. The new 2008 WRX STi products are currently available through Authorized HKS Dealers:

• Super Hybrid Filter

The HKS Super Hybrid Filter is a simple, drop-in, OEM replacement intake panel filter that produced up to 5 RWHP during testing.

• Legamax Premium Muffler

The HKS Legamax Premium Muffler for the STI features a fully polished, stainless steel 304 muffler and piping mated to dual 90mm rolled Titanium tips on each side of the dual exit exhaust. Legamax Premium is currently available as a rear muffler section and is designed to bolt-on to the factory mid pipe. Initial testing with the rear section produced 3 RWHP.

• Twin Power DLI II

The Twin Power ignition amplifier incorporates both the CDI and transistor method ignition to provide optimum spark duration and maximum voltage output, resulting in crisper throttle response and a smoother engine powerband. DLI II Types are vehicle application specific for Direct Ignition engines that utilize incorporated internal igniters and coils.

• Blow Off Valve

HKS Super SQV (Super Sequential Blow Off Valve) uses a unique sequential valve structure and a differential pressure control system, which allows for a broad operation range from low boost to high boost. All vehicle specific Super SQV kits include both the HKS Triple Fin Sound insert and Recirculation insert.

• Center Pipe 65mm SUS304

An optional SUS304 center pipe has completed development and will arrive to the North American market soon. A full 75mm cat-back, race exhaust system is currently under development.

Coming soon are the Hipermax III and Hipermax III Sport Suspension systems, Racing Suction Kit Reloaded, Front Mount Intercooler and Sport Turbo Upgrade.

This is the beauty of Japanese engineering, numerous tuning options to choose from. Won’t be long before we see other tuning houses come up with their own tuning kits for the scooby.
