Here’s something you need to know. When you’re in the Nissan GTR, besides the monstrous mechanical sound within the car which is music to anyone’s ears, it actually sounds dissapointingly quiet from the outside. A good exhaust would definately justify the 911 turbo beating 3.8 litres.
Just when you thought 5 Zigen had gone missing in action after a long period of inactivity, they’ve catapulted themselves back on track by choosing the Nissan GTR as a platform for their new line of SP Spec Street and Spec Tune exhaust.
5 Zigen SP Spec Street Exhaust
They don’t just make big and long straight mufflers anymore. This time, they are looking to target the premium Japanese. The 290,000 yen Spec Street exhaust saves about 7.8kg and turns up the volume to 90dB and 98dB with the optional 5Zigen front pipes.
5ZIGEN SP Spec Tune Exhaust
Now, if you want to take the sound level further to the edge, like edging 103dB then it would be the 5 Zigen Spec Tune race exhaust. At 198,000 yen, it should be able to clear the highway path as you blast through it.
The following picture shows the 5 Zigen front pipes. Also constructed with 304 stainless steel and yet saves 8.6kg, it’s going to be a favourite replacement for the stock items for any GTR.

the car itself already RM 770,000 and the tuned exhaust cost RM9000 something, which not suitable for malaysian economic effort to buy man to expensive yet! won’t you think?
Mate, it is common for high-end exhaust to be as expensive as 300,000 YEN (~RM9k)..
some NSX owners in KL even have RM10k-RM12k exhaust.. just the exhaust, excluding the Headers..
I guess that’s the average price u pay for GT cars..
i know that but for malaysian will pay out the hard earn money to buy such high end exhaust. For what i know novitec tuned super charger for ferrari f430 is about RM150-200k, are that consider cheap? this the average price pay for super cars….
there a some people with a huge buying power and mad bout cars.. then all these are peace of mind for them.. just my 2 cents
